Plants

You need to know the similarities and differences of flowering plant and non-flowering plant.
There are two groups of Plants. 
They are classified into Flowering Plant and Non-flowering Plant.




You need to learn and remember the different parts of a plant and their functions.
A flowering plant has several plant parts.
Different parts of the plant has different functions (different purpose for the plant).


Roots absorb water and nutrients from the soil. The roots anchor (hold) the plant firmly to the ground.

Stem supports the branches and leaves to reach out for sunlight.

Fruit is to protect the seeds and help in the dispersal of seeds. The seeds help plants to reproduce.
Fruit developed from flowers. Not all fruits are edible.

Leaf (if more than one leaf is called leaves) have green substance. The green substance are called chlorophyll which is important for plants to make food.
